Taco Chili -Crock Pot
& Freezer Cooking
If your like me colder weather often means higher pain levels. The last thing my body wants to do is stand over a stove, but the family has to eat. With this next recipe cooking in pain has never been easier. Have a nice, warm, filling meal with Taco Chili and the best part…easy clean up and my whole family enjoys it! 🙂
Prep time: 15 mins
Cook time: 6 hours
Total time: 6 hours 5 mins
1 lb- cooked ground beef
1- medium onion, chopped
1- can corn, drained
1- 8 oz can tomato sauce
2- 14 oz cans diced tomatoes
1- small can diced green chilies
1- can drained black beans (optional)
1- pkg taco seasoning
Place all ingredients in freezer bag, mix well and freeze until ready to use.
Thaw slightly and place in crock pot.
Cook on low for 6 hours (time may vary on crock pot)
*Taco Chili can be topped with shredded cheese, chopped green onions, sour cream, and corn or tortilla chips.
Cooking In Pain Tip:
Double the recipe to make 2 freezer meals. Divide any left overs in freezer and microwaveable containers for an easy reheat for a warm lunch or dinner.
